See All ReviewsJust to clarify, Joyce’s place is open on Monday. I’m here getting vegetable soup and cornbread to go. Found this gem in October on last visit to Pikeville. Bean soup and cornbread was the best meal we had while in town.
The food filled the hole, it was just something to eat not something to write home about. The lady that waited on us wished we were not there. It was + 15 $ for a burger that was nothing special. The bathroom was pretty clean on the up side. Would not return.
we were road tripping across the country (to go see my parents' sweet new old people retirement home and i thought it would be a good idea to bring my girlfriend with me - ya know, to see if it reeaallly works out - so we left from where i live in north idaho [in a town that claims to have the best burger on I90... and they hold up... so i know what im talking about] and went to see my family where im from in Maryland and all, and then put our feet in the Atlantic and everything because she never had been there) but on the way back we wanted to see the famous "feudal" part of Kentucky and found a much bigger than expected town here. anywhoo they got good real burgers at a good real price. cheese sauce on the side with the krinkle cut fries gets a bonus point :) two people ate well and tipped hard for 30 bucks. I hope you eat well and tip hard too!
